Pre-Pharmacy Association

  • How do points work?
    • Points may vary with specific events, but information on how points are generally awarded can be found here.
  • How do I know if I'm signed up for an event?
    • On the Events page of the website, links will be available to sign up and there will also be a link to "View previous responses." Here you can look for your name on the list of volunteers who have signed up. A reminder e-mail will also be sent prior to volunteer events.
  • How do I cancel for an event?
    • Cancellation should be made at least 72 hours in advance to volunteering date to avoid point penalties. Cancellations must be made by emailing uofhppa.secretary@gmail.com.
  • How do I know if I'm an active member?
    • The Records page of the website will be continually updated so members know where they stand on points. To be qualified as an "Active Member" for the semester you must have 25 points by the end of the semester and have volunteered in at least 5 different events.
  • How do I get a verification letter to show Colleges of Pharmacy that I volunteered and was an active member?
    • Verification letter requests must be made to the PPA faculty advisor, Natasha Hindocha by providing a completed "Reference Request & FERPA Release" form (found here). The form must be sent to nchindoc@central.uh.edu for letters to be written on their behalf. PPA officers cannot write verification letters as only the faculty advisor is qualified. Please contact Ms. Hindocha at the above e-mail address if there are any further questions.
