Kaplan talked about their services for students preparing for the PCAT and raffled off KAPLAN PCAT flashcards and t-shirts.
Kaplan also announced that they will be hosting a "mock class" to show students exactly what their courses have to offer. No date is currently set but we will announce it was soon as it is available.
UH advisors introduced themselves and gave great talks about the pre-pharmacy major and what it takes to be a sucessful pre-pharmacy student.
UH advisors handed out awards and prizes to the full time pre-pharmacy students with the top 10 GPAs of last year
UH advisors handed out prizes and gooddies to the outstanding pre-pharmacy peer advisors
PPA Officers talked about the Pre-pharmacy association points system and upcoming events, and announced the upcoming PPA social in the UC game room on September 29th from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. (More details about the social will be posted on the main website including how members can earn points by bringing food or drinks.)
It was also announced that Harin Kaylanji will be forming a PPA team for the intramural vollyball league at the UH Rec center. The deadline to sign up is October 18th and you may contact him through UofHPPA@gmail.com or through facebook if you wanna come out and have some fun!
Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center gave a very good talk and answered questions about the importance of donating blood and how it is used to save lives.
Upcoming mock interviews for students applying to pharmacy school for the next term were also announced but no date is currently set. We will announce more details when they are available.
